Lyre Letter Alpha Beta Chapter of Alpha Chi Omega at Purdue University SPRING 2025 Left: Sisters of the 2022 and 2023 member classes during AXO Chicken and Waffles. Right: Sisters of the 2023 member class all dressed up for the Vineyard Dreams formal. T he love and dedication we share in the bond of our Alpha Beta sisterhood continue to be shared in many facets. The Alpha Chi Omega Home Corporation Board appreciates all the ways our alumnae make donations: time, talent and monetary. Thank you for your generous donations, which allow Alpha Chi Omega to be beautifully maintained and for us to be one of the most highly recruited houses on Purdue's campus! Each year, the Home Corporation Board asks the women living in the chapter house for their opinions about what they would like to have or need to have available to them while living at Alpha Chi Omega. It is only through collaboration, compromise and your generosity that Alpha Beta continues to thrive! It was brought to the Home Corporation Board's attention that the Alpha Beta women were interested in a new house computer. A new computer would be beneficial in helping the women study. Working with the vice president of intellectual development, we were able to accommodate their desire for a new house computer in the basement study room. We have also contacted a decorator, Andrea Braxton, for input on carpeting in the formal living room, parlor and basement. This summer, the Home Corporation Board will be repairing some damage to the ceiling in the dining room due to a plumbing issue from the second-floor restroom. Many alumnae may have stopped by the Alpha Beta house to see the new outdoor fireplace. The masons were racing against winter to get the fireplace finished. Although they were able to complete the fireplace, not all the engraved bricks were able to be placed before winter. Consequently, the masons will be placing the engraved bricks on the fireplace this summer. Thank you for your patience and support as we complete our patio project this summer. We hope you will find that the fireplace has been worth the wait. Please be sure to drop by Alpha Chi Omega when you are visiting Purdue. Alpha Beta will always be your home away from home!
