Welcome, New Members! Welcome, New Members! Lyre Letter 2 T he 2024-25 academic year has been quite busy at Alpha Beta Chapter! From welcoming the 2024 member class to volunteering and raising funds for the YWCA and supporting and assisting our sisters in all their endeavors, the ladies who call Alpha Chi Omega home have been very busy. During the first two weeks of class, Alpha Beta participated in primary recruitment. For the second year in a row, we had the highest potential new member retention rate within the Panhellenic community. Our VPR, Whitley Judd '22, did an incredible job preparing the chapter house during Work Week and ensuring that every PNM who came through our doors felt at home. At the end of the process, we welcomed 44 new members! They were all initiated on October 29, 2024, and have since grown into beloved sisters. Shortly after recruitment, we co-hosted our first philanthropy event with the Phi Alpha Chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon. Our former vice president of philanthropy, Ashleigh Schetter '22, co-coordinated a pickleball tournament, and the turnout was incredible! Since the beginning of the second semester, our new VPP, Lexi Zirkle '23, has organized events such as Donut Let Love Hurt and Alpha Chi-ken and Waffles to raise funds for the YWCA. Alongside these fundraising efforts, sisters traveled to Lafayette weekly to volunteer at the YWCA. From serving at events to participating in game nights, there was almost always an Alpha Chi present. Throughout this school year, many of our sisters have been fortunate to receive exceptional career opportunities. These sisters have inspired all of us, and their achievements have been supported and celebrated by the chapter. Gabriela Almeida '22 graduated early at the end of the first semester. Before graduating, she served as the chapter's mystagogue and was adored by every member across all classes. She excelled in her academics—hence her early graduation—and is now working in California at Apple as an engineering program manager. We are so proud of her and miss her dearly. As the school year comes to a close, Alpha Beta reflects on all the amazing memories we've made and would like to extend a special thank you to our alumnae. Thank you for your continued support—we'll see you next school year! Loyally, Marie Parrette '23 Chapter President Payton Abel | Fishers, Ind. Alyssa Adams | Superior, Colo.
