Our chapter continues to uphold our values through the pursuit of academic success, service through philanthropy, and creating a vibrant presence on campus. Members were successful academically, with a chapter-wide GPA of 3.44 and 75 members making the president's list and 77 on the dean's list during the fall. Many also received prestigious scholarships and academic honors. We are particularly proud of how our members balance academic excellence with leadership and service! Philanthropy remained a significant focus. Our philanthropy director, Izzy McNamara '23, worked tirelessly to organize events. Through our Kappa Kindness Week, we were able to spread positivity with five consecutive days of fundraising. Some events included candy grams, a flower bouquet sale, and Kake a Kappa. Additionally, our annual March Madness Bracket Challenge raised funds through some friendly competition, and our month-long Krispy Kreme Fundraiser was a sweet success, receiving support from across the community. Altogether, we have raised over $4,133 and contributed more than 1,690 volunteer hours so far in the spring semester, supporting both our local foundation, the Kentucky Center for Grieving Children and Families, and our national cause, the JED Foundation. Kappas continue to be heavily involved, participating in 50 organizations and holding leadership positions in groups like the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, where our own Maria Jackson '21 serves as president. Kentucky Kappas are recognized across campus for their strong leadership and everlasting dedication and passion for making a positive impact on those around them. Events Director Penelope Carrico '24 worked hard creating the spring social calendar, uniting the sisterhood and showcasing our love for tradition and bonding. Our much- anticipated Kappa Krush and Derby Date Party created everlasting memories. Reflecting on the year, we are proud of how Kappa Kappa Gamma has prospered and continues to make a difference. We are excited to continue to inspire, serve, and lead at the University of Kentucky and beyond.
