Alexander '68 still works part-time as a medical consultant to small pharmaceutical companies after a 10-year public health career in Birmingham. He recently attended the MSU Famous Maroon Band Alumni Weekend and marched on Scott Field with the "other dinosaurs," playing Hail State as best he could. He and his wife, Laura, reside in Cary, N.C., with children and grandchildren in Apex and Greensboro. Email: jim@alexanderpharma.net Walter T. Costilow '68 is an award-winning watercolor artist and serves as president of the Watercolor Society of Alabama. His aviation art has been displayed at the National U.S. Air Force Museum, the Mighty Eighth Air Force Museum, the Pima Air Museum, and the Naval Pawtucket Flight Test Museum. He has lived in south Madison County for the past 30 years and keeps busy maintaining a house and a 3.5-acre lot with lots of Bermuda grass. Email: ron.s.poole@gmail.com John P. Conn '71 retired in 2012 and volunteers with the National Park Service giving historical tours at Ship Island. He is also an active member of the Mississippi Gulf Coast Corvette Club and the Ham Radio MDXA Club. He calls Biloxi, Miss., home. Smith '81 is enjoying what he calls the "fourth stage of retirement," i.e., serving others. He joined the Woodstock, Ga., Lions Club in May 2024, which supports eight global causes including hunger, vision, childhood cancer, and more. He calls Canton, Ga. home.
