The Perch 6 "Pledging Chi O in those very first weeks on campus as a freshman helped me find a 'home' at UNC- Chapel Hill. Those that I met all those years ago are still 'foxhole friends'… One of my very best decisions!" –Susan Hall Dooley '82 Why They Gave "To me, a restored house represents a renewal of our community's spirit and dedication, especially as we make it ADA accessible to honor Riley, a beloved former president who deeply valued inclusivity. This house is more than just a structure; it's a living legacy of compassion and unity, embodying the values that Riley championed. By restoring and adapting our home, we ensure it remains a welcoming, accessible space for all, continuing the legacy of kindness and support that defines us." –Jackie Granger '25 "Chi O was a huge positive part of my Chapel Hill experience. I spent two years living in the Chi O house not realizing how recently it had been renovated before I got there! We need to support this effort like others before us have." –Carter Brooks MacBain '77 "The first time I ever came to Chapel Hill was when my dad dropped me off in the parking lot of Hinton James as a freshman. I went through recruitment and knew I had found a home when I pledged Chi Omega. I had the best pledge class, had great sisters, and loved living in the house. I am so excited for the women to have such a wonderful place to call 'home' and love being there as much as I did. At 64, I am still blessed with my Chi O friendships." –Mary Faison Blair '82 "Chi O was the foundation for many of my lifelong friendships. Giving to the campaign will allow other girls the opportunity to make lasting friendships! I am so very thankful for the memories I have in the big yellow barn. My campaign gift will help Chi Os make more memories in our house for years to come." –Megan Anderson Phillips '06 "When we met with our executive board in 2022 and listened to their dreams for 313 E. Franklin Street, I knew I had to get involved! Coming from out of state, I had a Chi O 'fairy godmother' during recruitment and knew immediately that the Chi Os were my people! I have countless memories of living in the house for three years with the best women I had ever known. Luckily for me, I still see many of them every week! This ambitious restoration project is setting Epsilon Beta up for years of success as the girls will have a bright, clean, safe, accessible home long into the future. The new study areas, open dining room, and gathering spaces will enrich every aspect of life in the house. Our amazing centennial brought 450 alumnae back, and we have reconnected and reengaged on multiple levels. We are leaving no stone unturned as we tackle this very large project! Thanks to everyone for your enthusiastic support, and please consider a stretch gift to our campaign!" –Mary Harvey Beaver '82 "I chose to give to the campaign to ensure that Epson Beta continues to thrive for generations to come. I love the friends I made in the Chi O house while I was there. Chi O was a wonderful community of friends and a home away from home—a place with lots of good memories. The newly restored house will be a special gathering place for the girls and a place they can be proud to call their home. It will be a comfortable place to live, study, and enjoy meals and time together—all things I appreciated while I was there." –Scottie Galloway Neill '88 C a m p a ig n f o r E p s i lon B e t a C e n t u r y o f S i s t e rh o o d
