DELTA PSI NEWS Kappa Kappa Gamma • Texas Tech University Spring 2025 THANK YOU TO THOSE WHO SERVE DELTA PSI Sisters Hard at Work at the Lodge O ur house board continues to support Delta Psi in many ways! • I want to thank Melanie Waters Neal '72 for diligently working to get internet access back up. • Sara Parenti '72 continues to keep the members supplied with healthy snacks on a regular basis. • Heather Halbert Reynolds '98 helped get our air conditioning maintenance contract updated to keep our massive air conditioning units working efficiently. She also helped us with our new insurance issue of obtaining coverage for wind and hail. • Ali Williams Hamilton '08 has enthusiastically taken on our landscaping. She personally ensured that we had beautiful flowers for recruitment, worked to get a new landscape maintenance company, and had our large trees pruned. They look beautiful! • Dani Kaplan Diaz De Tuesta '97 and Amy Rohrer '12 have kept up the maintenance projects that are never- ending in a lodge this large! • Amy is working on updating a plan to update design elements in the lodge and bring in new furniture for study rooms and public spaces. We are also planning to repaint many areas in the lodge since it has been nearly 10 years since we moved in. • Emily Bennett '98 continues to work with our bookkeeper to keep our financials updated. • Eden Lane '24, the chapter treasurer, reported that the chapter wants to buy stools to use in recruiting. We decided to purchase these for the chapter since they will be long-term investments. I appreciate the other members who attend our meetings and volunteer to help with chapter activities: Lindley Douglass Herring '98, Madison Rochow '17, Tina Wheeler Sieck '89, Maie Grisham '17, and Ryan Lewis '17. I also appreciate the chapter officers and advisors who are actively attending our meetings: LeAnn Martin Grantham '76, Sara Parenti '72, Hannah Helmke '22, Eden, and Ava Cole '22. It is important that the chapter officers attend so we can get their feedback about what they need from the house board. We hope to be able to report in our next newsletter about Amy's new design for the lodge. As always, if you are coming to Lubbock and want to visit the lodge, give me a call! Loyally, Dean Verner Loehr '71 House Board President (806) 252-2712 T he Lubbock Alumnae Association enjoyed time together at the beautiful home of Ann Farmer Manning '68 for our Christmas party on December 2. Ann even shared with all of us a CD of Christmas piano music she recorded and has sent out to friends for years. We left full of cheer and sisterhood and ready to enjoy the season. We also participated in the annual sponsorship of a Kappa Holiday Rose. The alumnae gave generously, and we were able to send an assortment of gift cards to support Kathy, our 2024 Holiday Loyally, Laura Vinson, Epsilon Upsilon '88 Co-President Kati Gormley Adams '91 Co-President We loved celebrating Christmas with our sisters! Rose who lives in California. This is always a favorite activity for our chapter. Earlier in the fall, we once again hosted a chili supper at the house for the chapter. Over 15 alumnae filled up their crockpots with delicious soups and chili, and it certainly was gone in a flash. We held another chapter dinner on April 1. Thanks to all the alumnae who participated in both dinners! We will once again host a senior sendoff in May and look forward to sharing that special time as we welcome new alumnae as they graduate. That's all from the Lubbock Alumnae Association; we hope you all are well and invite you to join us anytime!
