Anthony describes the Street to Seat program as a way for civilians to apply to become a warrant officer in the Army and go straight to flight school. "After I graduated, I started the process to become an aviator. It is pretty rigorous and involves interviews, medical and knowledge tests, and lots of waiting." Alpha Tau Omega 3 Anthony pilots a CH-47F Chinook while carrying a Humvee. W hen Anthony Losole '13 joined Delta Kappa Chapter just a couple years after the chapter's return to campus, he and fellow ATΩs were determined to chart a positive path for the brotherhood. He is proud of his role in Delta Kappa's growth and appreciates the ways Alpha Tau Omega developed him as a leader and communicator. BUILDING SOMETHING GREAT "After meeting the men of ATΩ during recruitment, they stood out as a group of down-to-earth men who wanted to support each other in personal growth and growth of the chapter," Anthony said. Delta Kappa's lack of a house at the time didn't dissuade his membership, though he and others were thrilled to eventually move into their new chapter house. "It felt like a giant step forward in the growth of the fraternity." During Anthony's four years in college, Delta Kappa membership soared by more than 60%. The leadership values of communication and teamwork he gained as chapter president carried over into his United States Army service, and Anthony is glad to maintain several ATΩ connections with close friends to this day. Anthony was also selected to be an undergraduate member for Alpha Tau Omega's national board of directors. The experience provided him with a greater perspective on how ATΩ benefits young men nationwide, and he suggests today's undergraduates to get involved with the national organization in some capacity. FLYING FOR HIS COUNTRY Anthony entered college with his sights set on becoming an Army helicopter pilot. After graduating in 2016 with a degree in aviation management, he joined the Street to Seat program and started training for the United States Army in 2017. "For anyone looking to get into this field, I found it so important to find a mentor and network. Knowing all your options before you get into an industry is crucial so you can lay out a plan for your career." Anthony graduated at the top of his class, and he chose to fly a CH-47F Chinook for the Army. His career has taken him across the world, from flying next to the Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) in South Korea to putting out fires on Hawaiian Islands and flying high-ranking officials around New York City and Washington, D.C. "The Army has allowed me to travel the world and fly incredible machines while leading young soldiers. I have had a wonderful career in the Army, and for anyone thinking of going the military route, I encourage you to reach out because there are endless opportunities." PERSONAL LIFE Anthony's wife is also a U.S. Army aviator who is currently working in a project management role. They have two young children, both under 3 years old.
