2 THE ORACLE F or over a century, Alpha-Omicron Chapter has provided a home at 1210 E. 3rd Street, where generations of brothers have lived, learned, and forged lifelong bonds. As we celebrate this remarkable legacy, the Alpha Omicron Educational Foundation remains dedicated to ensuring future generations continue to thrive under one roof—one that fosters academic success, personal growth, and brotherhood. OUR ORIGINS AND MISSION In the early 1990s, the Alpha Omicron Association of Lambda Chi Alpha, Inc., initiated discussions on launching a capital campaign to renovate the chapter house. Recognizing the need for long-term financial support, the decision was made to establish an Educational Foundation. Brother Robert Scott '83 spearheaded this effort, leading to the official incorporation of the Foundation, on December 16, 1994. As a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, the Foundation was created to support educational initiatives, provide scholarships, and enhance learning spaces within the chapter house. Through these efforts, we honor our century-long tradition of academic and personal excellence. BOARD OF DIRECTORS FOUNDING OFFICERS Hon. Kenneth Todd '67 – President Robert Scott '83 – Secretary Doug Hannoy '83 – Treasurer A LEGACY OF LEARNING AND SUPPORT Since its inception, the AO Educational Foundation has remained committed to: • Awarding scholarships to undergraduate brothers to help them achieve their academic goals. • Providing grants to the Housing Corporation to enhance educational spaces within the chapter house. • Encouraging lifelong learning in service of our fraternal values. 2024: STRENGTHENING THE FOUNDATION FOR THE NEXT CENTURY This past year, the Foundation continued its mission to enhance the academic environment within the chapter house by: • Furnishing the chapter's computer center, ensuring members have the tools they need to succeed. • Launching a mental health initiative to support the well-being of our brothers. • Awarding $15,500 in scholarships to the following outstanding undergraduate brothers: LOOKING TO THE FUTURE As we reflect on a century under one roof, the AO Educational Foundation remains steadfast in its mission to support the academic and personal growth of our brothers. With your continued generosity, we will ensure that Alpha-Omicron remains a place where young men grow into leaders—today, tomorrow, and for the next 100 years.
