2 The Iota Iota Messenger T he Iota Iota House Corporation enjoyed yet another fairly quiet year in 2024. This year, we are planning some overdue roofing repairs as well as the replacement of most all existing window shutters. We have yet again extended the dining room services contract with Upper Crust Food Service, and we continue to receive positive feedback from our members as well as guests who have had a meal at the house while visiting. As of this printing, we don't have any other major initiatives planned, but as always, if our invaluable house director, Mrs. Rhae Nix, has any suggestions, we will take them into consideration, as the smooth operations at the house would not be such without her dedicated efforts. As always, the chapter house will be open for all home football games, so if you want to come by and show it off to family and friends, please make plans to stop for a visit! In hoc, Will Yeldell '86 IIHC President wyeldell@me.com "The members I met were very welcoming and seemed to have my best interest at heart." –Jack Blitch "When I first came to The University of Alabama, I had no idea about fraternities and the process of joining one. I went to a rush event and liked all the guys I met. They were helpful in explaining the whole process, and it quickly felt like a welcoming place." –Tristan Walker "I knew people in Sigma Chi already through a friend from home who was a member. When I came to visit, they welcomed me like I was one of them and made me feel at home. It was an easy decision to join." –Ben Bryan "Being from Pittsburg, going to Alabama was a huge step for me to take. Being so far and knowing almost no one made me anxious to meet a whole new group of people. When going to different rush events, I met lots of new faces; the only ones that stood out were some of the guys in Sigma Chi. I seemed to have a lot of the same interests and liked what the guys represented." –Nico Zanella Why Did You Join Sigma Chi?
