Our members continue to excel in and out of the classroom, with brothers holding positions within our chapter and in other organizations across campus, all while maintaining a retention rate of over 90%! Campus Involvement Several members are part of elite business and engineering honor societies, and Texas Athletics' Ethan Burke '26, Joe Tatum '26, and Colin Page '26 represented the university and chapter after an incredible football season! Members also serve with the university's most prestigious service and spirit organizations: the Silver Spurs and Texas Cowboys. Some brothers are also involved in the UT Ducks Unlimited Chapter, with Reid Sheppard '25 currently serving as president. Giving Back We continue to place philanthropy as our top priority. Our partnership with Zavala Elementary School remains strong and active, as members mentor and tutor third and fourth grade students with the goal of providing educational support as well as fostering personal growth. Our efforts didn't end there, as members decided to start their own philanthropic endeavors. Austin Simpson '27 and Kenny Zhao '27 coordinated with MD Anderson Cancer Center to raise money for patient care. After reaching out to local businesses and individuals for their support, they were able to raise $2,000! Making Time for Brotherhood Our mental health committee, started by Grayson Gates '26, continues to serve its purpose of offering brothers all the resources they may need when they are struggling throughout the school year. Our Bible studies, headed up by Haden Henderson '26, continue to offer a time for brothers to explore and deepen their faith. Finally, in celebration of Texas Alpha's 95th anniversary, the brothers of Texas Alpha are hosting an event to commemorate this feat at the SigEp house on April 12. We hope to see as many brothers as possible to celebrate this great achievement! All Is Well on Pearl Street! Fall 2024 was a great success for Texas Alpha! The brothers are committed to achieving academic excellence, leadership, brotherly love, philanthropy, and personal growth in 2025.
