Page 3 Beta Sigma Psi A s I reflect on my time as president and an active member of Beta Chapter of Beta Sigma Psi, I feel a great sense of pride and gratitude. This year has been filled with both accomplishments and challenges, and it has been an honor to serve alongside such a fantastic group of young men. Together, we've accomplished so much, and I would like to take a moment to acknowledge all our hard work, growth, and brotherhood. ADVANCING BETA CHAPTER When I stepped into the role of president, I had a vision for what we could accomplish. Thanks to the dedication and commitment of each brother, we exceeded many of the goals we set. Some of our biggest achievements include: A staple philanthropic event, Hawt Dawgs for Beta Sig, supporting the Wounded Warrior Project; new traditions with our midnight runs to Dan's Donuts; a changing house culture; and a large turn in recruitment efforts, which included 19 new members who brought our Chapter to 50. Strengthening our brotherhood through regular events like football, frisbee, and soccer in the front yard, house meetings, and creating more opportunities for members to bond outside of formal events. WORKING AS A TEAM While this year was filled with successes, we also faced some challenges that tested our resilience, teamwork, and critical thinking skills. Despite these obstacles, we came together as a Chapter and showed our true character. These moments of hardship only made us stronger and more determined to work harder. I want to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude to the Beta Sigma Psi organization. This house has truly been a blessing to me, and I do not know what I would do without the brothers and organization as a whole. I am especially thankful for our alumni board advisors for their guidance and commitment to aid us through stressful situations this past year. Looking forward, I am excited to see what the next generations within Beta Chapter of Beta Sigma Psi will accomplish. This Chapter has so much potential, and I am certain that we will continue to build on the great foundation we've established. Thank you once again for the honor of leading this Chapter. It has been a journey I will forever look back on with love. Fraternally Kaiden Swyney '23 Chapter President Presidential Reflections Overcoming Obstacles for Fraternal Progress CHAPTER ETERNAL Michael Muhl '81 entered Chapter Eternal on December 1, 2024. ALUMNI NEWS Tom Going '82 and his family (Debi, Megumi, and Isaac) returned to America following almost 30 years of living and working in Japan and Indonesia with the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. The Going family took the baton of ministry from Tom's parents in Columbus, Ind. Tom and Debi now head up the Japanese Mission Society (jmsoutreach.org), which strives to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ among Japanese-speaking people in Indiana through relationships, ESL classrooms, and educational Bible studies.
