Fall Recruitment Report
A
ugust 18 was a milestone day for
Kappa Delta as we welcomed 132
bright new pledges to our sisterhood.
From the start, we were eager to make
them feel at home in Kappa Delta
and help them fall in love with The
University of Alabama.
The fall recruitment season kicked
off with a packed schedule. Bid Day
launched a week of fun-filled activities,
including a retreat at Pursell Farms, a
pool party, KD house tours, and a lively
silent disco. Throughout the season, we
hosted numerous sisterhood events,
surprise gatherings, and "stop-and-go"
chats with each new member to foster
friendships and strengthen our bond.
One of the highlights was our sweet
and memorable Big/Little reveal,
which had a festive luau theme. In
preparation for formal initiation on
Sunday, September 29, we held weekly
stage meetings to guide and support
our new members.
The social calendar was equally busy,
with themed swaps held with six
different fraternities. We had a blast
hosting dinner swaps at the KD house
with Phi Gam, DKE, and SAE. Each
time, our women gathered at the
house beforehand and walked over
together, ensuring every event was fun
for everyone!
It has been heartwarming to
watch our members build lifelong
friendships and find their home in
Kappa Delta. We love seeing their
smiling faces at the house and know
they will continue to enjoy all that
Kappa Delta offers during their time
at The University of Alabama.
