COLORADO STATE UNIVERSITY FALL 2024 S P EA R The I n just seven years, we have made significant strides in reducing our AVC debt to $1.66 million. However, rising interest rates have resulted in an additional $1,500 in monthly payments—an urgent challenge we must confront together. The silver lining? For the first time, we have 37 undergraduates living in the house! While we're still short of full capacity (41 members), this is a vital step forward, enabling us to meet our annual operating budget for the AVC. This past year, we've invested $20,000 in crucial capital improvements, including new storage sheds, library and dining furniture, and converting the trophy room into a vibrant game room. We also transformed the basement storage area into a dedicated study/conference room, alongside completing $40,000 in essential maintenance and repairs. These upgrades are not just improvements; they're investments in the future of our fraternity. Thanks to your generous contributions, the AVC raised over $68,000 this past year! These funds are critical for covering the financial gaps caused by lower occupancy and for bolstering our educational endowments. With an AVC budget of approximately $500,000, our expenses are as follows: • 30% Mortgage • 30% Food Service • 30% Property Management • 8% Business Operations/ Contingency • 1% Alumni Engagement • 1% Chapter Support Our long-term vision is clear: we must pay down the mortgage and redirect those savings to enhance our chapter programming, ultimately enriching the undergraduate experience for our young brothers. In the coming years, we will launch an urgent alumni fundraising campaign to significantly reduce our mortgage, grow our educational endowments, and amplify chapter support. As we approach the end of another year, we urgently need your help. Please consider making a donation to the Colorado Gamma RLC through the Sigma Phi Epsilon Educational Foundation. Your contributions are 100% tax deductible and will have an immediate impact on our undergraduates. Visit csusigep.org/RLCgiving to make your donation today. Remember, every dollar directly supports the future of Colorado Gamma.
