AUTUMN UPDATES Letter from the HC President A s we begin another fall semester at The University of Alabama, Alpha-Phi Zeta Chapter has once again welcomed a new group of Associate Members into our brotherhood. I believe the undergraduate Chapter will make every effort to ensure these new additions will become valuable and involved members of the Lambda Chi Alpha. Butch Camp, AΦ888, Roy Gregg, AΦ881, Tony Brown, AΦ827, and I attended the Lambda Chi Alpha Educational Foundation meeting that was held in conjunction with the 60th General Assembly in Phoenix this summer. It was an inspirational weekend for all involved. I was honored and overwhelmed to receive the Order of Merit from Lambda Chi Alpha. I want to sincerely thank all the brothers involved in my nomination, especially Tony, who is a former member of the LXA Educational Foundation Board. As always, we ask that you consider continuing your financial support of Lambda Chi Alpha. Your support, both financial and otherwise, is needed and certainly appreciated. In Z.A.X., Wayne Keith, AΦ775 House Corporation President ALPHA-PHI ZETA OF LAMBDA CHI ALPHA AT THE UNIVERSITY OF ALABAMA FALL 2024 Among the Greats ANOTHER ORDER OF THE MERIT FOR AΦ T he 60th General Assembly of Lambda Chi Alpha was held at the J W. Marriott Camelback Inn in Scottsdale, Arizona, from August 1-3. For the second time in a row, Alpha-Phi Zeta was honored by the presentation of the Order of Merit to one of our brothers. Wayne Stanley Keith, AΦ775, the current president of the Alpha Phi Zeta House Corporation, joins brothers Louis D. Boylan, AΦ102 (1948), Robert A. Matherne, AΦ68 (1964), Willis C. Royal, AΦ6 (1972), Bobby Ray Hicks, AΦ520 (1973), Leroy Townsend Gregg Jr., AΦ881 (2022), and William "Butch" Camp Jr., AΦ888 (2022) as recipients. Attending the presentation at the GA were Roy, Butch Camp, Tony Brown, AΦ827, and Mike Mathis, AΦ2082, current High Gamma. A presentation of the Order of Merit will be made at the Alpha-Phi Zeta House in Tuscaloosa in early October. Details of the presentation date and time will be provided soon.
