Eleven Eleven Report Gamma Tau Chapter of Delta Tau Delta university of kansas n Summer 2024 H ello, alumni! In this latest Eleven Eleven Report, you will note several references to scholarships—and with good reason! Our youngest Brothers continue to impress. They won the Hill in grades this past fall with a house GPA of 3.43. The 30 new members contributed a whopping 3.55! A Chance to Connect Alumni Weekend was April 26-27 and was a wild success. Friday night was hosted by Scott Roberts '91 at his "man cave" in Merriam, Kansas, where we honored this year's Eugene Hibbs Memorial Scholarship award recipients: Ben Hansen '22, Quinn Heather '22, Dane Hutchins '22, Bobby Oppenheim '22, Brady Robinson '21, and Connor Shepard '22. Each was awarded a $3,000 scholarship! On Saturday, more than 100 alumni teed off at Eagle Bend Golf Course in Lawrence. About 13 holes in, rain chased us from the course, but we reconvened at the Shelter for dinner, drinks, and awards. It was fantastic to see the rec room full of alumni and undergraduate members! You can check out event photos at flic.kr/s/aHBqjBoKhh. We use proceeds from Alumni Weekend to fund freshman scholarships and raised $5,000 this year! Thank you to all alumni who attended, and a special thanks to the chapter, David Robinson '93, Hunter Petermann '10, Scott Roberts, and PJ Arnold '87 for organizing events. Mark your calendars for next year's Alumni Weekend on April 26, 2025! Support the Brotherhood To build the legacy of the Hibbs Scholarship and further support our members' academic success, we have established the Kansas Delts Scholarship Fund through KU Endowment. This is a chance to permanently endow scholarships for future members and help support the success of our Chapter. See below for details. One last note: Football tailgates at the Shelter have been a huge success. However, this year will be a bit different. Memorial Stadium is going through a major renovation/rebuild, so our Jayhawks will be playing their home games at Sporting KC (non-conference) and the Kansas City Chiefs (conference) stadiums. We will organize some watch parties at the Shelter and tailgates at the games, so be on the lookout for additional information. I look forward to seeing you soon!
