THE CORDELT BETA OMICRON CHAPTER OF DELTA TAU DELTA AT CORNELL UNIVER SI T Y SPRING 2024 B rothers, I write to you on the cusp of an exciting time for Beta Omicron. This summer, we will execute a $1.5 million renovation of the Shelter! This project will focus on the bathrooms, the foyer, and the infamous kitchen grease trap and hood. We have signed a general contractor, the Trustees approved the financials, and work will begin following graduation. The Our Home, Our Legacy campaign has been a wild success, and I'm excited for us all to see the fruits of our labor. We could not have gotten to this point without the tremendous generosity of our donors and volunteers and the leadership of Sonny Sonnenstein '90. I'd also like to thank Larry "Zamo" Zamojski '76 and Graham Seward '07 for evaluating the contractor bids as well as Treasurer Andy Howlett '07 for his financial stewardship. Following the completion of this summer's project, we'll also address some modest upgrades in 2025 in preparation for our 135th anniversary celebration at Homecoming 2025. These efforts will allow us to reinvent our Shelter, ensuring future generations of Delts will enjoy a safe, comfortable, and appealing home. As I mentioned in my last note, we are also working on improving our alumni experience. To this end, I'd like to thank Young Hur '11 for taking on the newly created position of assistant advisor for finances and helping the undergraduates modernize their financial system. We'd like to further expand our alumni volunteer network by nominating some new trustees and creating a position of trustee emeritus during our next meeting at Homecoming. If you have an interest in giving back to Delt in this way, please let me know! I'd like to thank our undergraduate president, Jatin Mukerji '25, and the rest of the members for their leadership. They brought in four new Delts and are working hard to build on their experience and ensure greater recruitment success next year. We're grateful to Noah Diamond '25, Logan Roeling '24, and Marty Stallone '25 for leading the recruitment team, and to Justin Hedin '10 and Bryan Cuccioli '13 for mentoring them. Additionally, we congratulate the 13 brothers joining our alumni ranks this spring! In closing, it is a great honor to serve this amazing brotherhood, and I've never been more optimistic about the future of our fraternity. As always, if I can be of assistance, or if you have any thoughts or ideas, please don't hesitate to reach out. Be well, and Rah Delt!
