Phi Alpha, ILBE 125th Anniversary Planning Committee ITINERARY FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 13 Phi Alpha Golf Outing Tee times start at 9:00 a.m Please join us for the first event: PAGO! It will take place at Atkins Golf Club, home of the Fighting Illini golf teams. Prizes will be awarded for longest drive, longest putt, closest to the pin, individual champion in the Championship Flight, and best team score in the Scramble Flight. Please stay for a group photo after the last round is completed. Cost is $125 per person. Includes 18-hole golf, cart, range balls, box lunch, drink ticket, prize pool, and a 2024 PAGO favor. Reception Join us on Friday night at 211 E. Daniel for a tour of the chapter house, a buffet dinner and drinks, and a chance to catch up with your brothers. SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 14 Tailgate and Fighting Illini Football Game Time dependent on kickoff. Food and drinks at 211 E. Daniel before game. 125th Anniversary Dinner 5:30-11 p.m. Dinner at Jupiter at the Crossing (2511 Village Green Place). Evening includes cash bar, buffet dinner, and award presentation. ACCOMMODATIONS Illinois Beta Alumni Association has obtained a block of 40 hotel rooms at the Red Roof Inn Champaign at 212 W. Anthony Drive. They are non-smoking Deluxe Full Rooms, each with two full beds. The rooms are $245 plus tax per room per night (two-night minimum). A lumni have purchased more than 140 now-installed memorial bricks (are you one of them?). We plan to install additional bricks this summer, so you still have a chance to purchase yours! The goal of the ILBE Brick Paver Project is to expand the usable space on the west patio by adding brick pavers around the perimeter. As a bonus, these bricks are designed to recognize ILBE alumni. With a tax-deductible $100 donation to the Illinois Beta Chapter Allocation Fund, you will receive a laser-engraved brick paver (and qualify for more bricks with every additional $100). These feature an ΣΑΕ flag and can include the name of the alumnus, graduation year, and badge number. Contributions in memory of a brother who has passed into Chapter Eternal are also encouraged. (An alumni volunteer will contact you to discuss what you would like on your brick.) After bricks have been purchased, all remaining funds will be dedicated to ILBE chapter house improvement projects. We will publish an update of these projects in The Lion Tattler.
