In early March, our chapter partnered with fellow fraternities for a charity hockey game for the Huntsman Cancer Foundation. Fans paid for merchandise and tickets to watch ΣAE and Pi Kappa Alpha take on Sigma Chi and Alpha Tau Omega in the 2024 Spring Classic. After a hard-fought battle, ΣAE and PIKE claimed a 5-2 victory. The event drew in over 300 fans and raised $1,500—a successful turnout. Throughout the semester, brothers participated in many sorority philanthropy events, including KAT's Theta Grilled Cheese for CASA and XO's Wings for Wishes event for Make-A-Wish Foundation. Brothers also participated in KD's dodgeball tournament for Prevent Child Abuse America and Crisis Nursery and GPB's kickball tournament for Girls on the Run. We enjoyed playing for a good cause and dominating the competition; ΣAE teams placed first in both tournaments! During UIUC's Mom's Weekend in April, brothers hosted a chapter house brunch in the morning followed by a get-together in the courtyard at night. It was nice to see families chatting and getting to know one another. We look to end the spring on a good note during finals week, wrapping up another successful school year.
