Epsilon Beta Announces $4 Million Chapter House Restoration Campaign A s times change and our society continues to evolve, there comes a moment in each sorority's journey when the sisterhood must decide to embrace the future while preserving a cherished past. Today, we stand at such a crossroads as we unveil the Century of Sisterhood fundraising campaign, a mission that unites our values of sisterhood, tradition, and progress. Our Rich History Our historic home stands as a testament to the enduring legacy of Chi Omega at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, having weathered over 100 years of storms with grace and resilience. Within its walls are nestled echoes of laughter, whispers of shared secrets, and the warmth of countless, precious memories. However, like any treasure, the yellow house on the corner at 313 E. Franklin Street requires attentive care to ensure it continues to shine brightly for generations to come. Embracing Change While Honoring Tradition The aim of this renovation project is not to erase the past but to enhance it by ensuring the house remains a visual representation of our sisterhood's strong foundation and bright future. We embark on this journey with a deep commitment to preserving the charm, tradition, and intrinsic value of our historic home. Why Renovate? The decision to renovate is not born out of a desire for fleeting trends or luxury. Our beloved Chapter House has become outdated in terms of safety, functionality, and comfort. The exterior, plumbing, accessibility, and structural elements are in dire need of attention. By investing in this renovation, we will ensure a safe and pleasant home for the next generation of Epsilon Beta sisters. Modern Comforts, Timeless Elegance While preserving the house's historical integrity is at the forefront of this endeavor, we also recognize the importance of modern amenities. The updated Chapter House will boast numerous academic and community spaces, providing a living space our members will be proud to share on Bid Day. From cozy study nooks to enhanced communal areas, every detail is designed to enrich the Chi Omega experience and make our Chapter a desirable option for new members. Will You Join the Effort? To date, we have raised $1,666,443 toward our $4 million goal from a group of 66 generous early donors. Realizing this vision will require the collective strength and support of our sisterhood. We invite every alumna and friend of our Chapter to stand with us as we ensure Chi Omega continues to thrive at UNC. In the coming weeks, you will receive additional information detailing the project, the campaign, and ways in which you can help. Together, let's preserve our legacy and provide for the future as our Chapter House becomes a beacon of unity that will stand tall for generations to come.
