Your financial support is critical for our Chapter House renovation project, and we are grateful for your role in laying the foundation for our vibrant future. Keep an eye out for more information in the coming weeks, including details on how you can join your sisters in supporting this special campaign. We can't wait to have as many sisters as possible on our list! All gifts of $10,000 or more will be recognized on a donor plaque permanently displayed in the Chapter House, and gifts of $2,500 or more will be recognized in all campaign publications. If there is an error in your listing, we sincerely apologize. Please contact our campaign coordinator at agriffith@penningtonco.com to submit corrections. Thank You, Early Donors CAMPAIGN STATUS AT A GLANCE As of April 5, 2024 When will construction begin? As soon as our sophomores move out the first week of May. We aim to start construction on Monday, May 13. Where will our house director be living? Drucie French '71 has donated her gorgeous apartment, free of charge, to our house director for a year, so Teresa can safely live in Chapel Hill while our Chapter House is under construction. The apartment is close by, and Teresa will meet weekly with our women. Where will the women live during construction? Our newest initiates have already planned their living arrangements and most are living in Shortbread Apartments. We are working with Shortbread's management to arrange our women's apartments so they will be living on the same floors together. How will Chi Omega maintain sisterhood? Our House Corporation, house director, and chef have been meeting with University Baptist Church to serve our women dinner from their church's commercial kitchen every Tuesday evening and lunch every Thursday. They have a beautiful fellowship hall where our women can gather for meals. Dinners will be followed by our Chapter meetings. The church has offered the possibility of our women eating there more frequently each week. The HCB is also in the process of planning a sisterhood event every month. When will construction be completed? Our goal is to have the renovation project completed in a year and our Chi Omega women reoccupying our house in August 2025.
