We ended last spring with a 3.68 GPA and placed second in grades in the Greek community. We are still enjoying the brand-new house and have been able to share it with many alumnae who have come for tours throughout the fall. At the beginning of the semester, we had an incredible recruitment, led by Makenzie Miller '20, where we welcomed home 58 new members. We also participated in Freshman Follies with one of our very own, Sierra Sewell '20, as executive director of the show. We were paired with Phi Gamma Delta and won first place overall as well as Best Dance Number, Most Philanthropic, and Best Female Follier. To keep the winning streak going, we're proud to announce we secured first place in the Homecoming bonanza tournament with our partners, Phi Gamma Delta. We also placed fourth in decorations, placed second in sign, and received Viewer's Choice. We also celebrated Makinley Kennedy '20 being crowned Homecoming Queen. We had many members participate on the steering committee to help with Homecoming festivities this year. For our annual Wish Week this year, we organized a softball tournament, Kenzie's Kones snow cone event, and Waffles for Wishes to raise money for a Wish Kid in our community. We have celebrated so many fun achievements this fall, and it speaks volumes about the women and leaders we have in Tau Beta. We had several members gain admittance into medical school, law school, and numerous other graduate programs, and five of our members received the Senior of Significance Award from the OSU Alumni Association. Emily Orme '21 was slated as Panhellenic president during the latest elections, and we have 10 incredible women who will continue to lead Tau Beta to future successes while enriching the sisterhood. This semester has been incredibly successful for both the Chapter and our members individually. Tau Beta continues to set members up for incredible careers, bright futures, and a legacy of excellence within and outside the OSU community. Loyally, Kaitlin Koons '20 Chapter President Oklahoma State's Panhellenic recruitment this fall was one our seniors won't forget. After COVID-19 and two years of rebuilding, they were happy to finally recruit out of 310 S. Monroe and bring home 58 new Chi Omegas. Tau Beta's Makinley Kennedy '20 is crowned Oklahoma State Homecoming Queen. Makinley was selected by a group of individuals from the Alumni Association based upon her reflection of the Cowboy Code, which states, "Being a Cowboy isn't in our clothes, it's in our character." Makinley embodies the code and is a leader throughout campus and in Chi Omega. We are honored to know her and to have celebrated her as Homecoming Queen. Chi Omega was paired with Phi Gamma Delta this year and placed fourth in House Decoration. We are grateful to be a part of this tradition at OSU and to have a wonderful team leading the creation and execution of our dec.
