Retta Esplanade The murals all around town are the creations of the Punta Gorda Historic Mural Society, a nonprofit, started 27 years ago as part of a city- wide revitalization project. Each mural presents a slice of the area's rich history. There are currently over 30 murals in all and can be found by using the free Walking/Biking Guides available at the Punta Gorda Chamber. Get a brief history lesson by simply scanning the QR Code sign on each mural wall. History classes are offered throughout the year and guided tours are offered in season.
