PicklePlex of Punta Gorda offers players the opportunity to play on one of 16 courts. Gilchrist Park and South Country Recreation Center in Punta Gorda both provide pickleball players with an opportuni- ty to play. South County Recreation Center has both indoor and outdoor courts. However, Punta Gorda isn't the only place for people to play in the area. Pickleball players can participate in a number of locales in North Port, including Highland Ridge Park and the George Mullen Activity Center. For those interested in becoming involvedin the sport in Port Charlotte, the Harold Avenue Rec Center offers indoor play. Englewood hosts a series of AAU tourna- ments and the Englewood Sports Complex boasts 10 outdoor and four indoor courts. The Recreation Center at Tringali Park in Englewood also offers indoor pickleball play. Foxworthy/By-Pass Park, the Salvation Army and Pinebrook Park are among the places you can play in Venice. Pickleball is also played at Venice Community Center, 326 S. Nokomis Ave., Venice.
