Thank you to all who attended our Hall of Commitment event in April! Lyre Letter Alpha Beta Chapter of Alpha Chi Omega at Purdue University SPRING 2023 T hank you, Alpha Beta alumnae, for your generous donations! Your loyal support allows us to maintain our beautiful Alpha Chi Omega home where so many fond memories are made. This summer, the Home Corporation Board is excited to announce that we will replace the flooring in the study rooms. After replacing the windows in the chapter house last summer and working with a local HVAC contractor, the temperatures in the house this school year have been better regulated. The board has also approved replacing both balcony room doors this summer in an effort to continue this positive impact for the 78 women who will return home to Alpha Chi Omega in the fall. On April 25, alumnae held the Hall of Commitment for Alpha Beta's graduating seniors. Not only did we welcome our seniors into their lifetime commitment as Alpha Chi Omega alumnae, but we also held a 75th pinning ceremony for alumna Margaret Ann "Bunny" Hedderich Boardman '45. We enjoyed spending the evening with our graduates and chatting about their plans. Many already have career plans, a few will attend graduate school and others will be staying at Purdue as their selected degree requires more than four years of study. Bunny's 75th pinning ceremony brought tears to the eyes of many women. The 75th anniversary of Bunny's commitment to Alpha Chi Omega was actually in 2020. Due to the pandemic, however, we have not been able to celebrate her pinning until this year. Bunny graciously accepted her pin and shared stories from her days as an Alpha Beta at Alpha Chi Omega. The Home Corporation Board would like to invite each and every one of you to stop by Alpha Chi Omega for a visit when you are on Purdue's campus. Enjoy reminiscing about your time in the chapter house, introduce yourselves to the women currently living in the house and ask them to show you their new flooring as you venture to the balcony for a picture with the Alpha Chi lyre. Your support and dedication to Alpha Beta is why our chapter continues to thrive. Alpha Beta Highlights Magnificent Sisters in the Spring Thank You, Alumnae! W e share our thanks to the following sisters for contributing $4,270 to the annual fund in 2022. Your support makes crucial projects like this summer's chapter house updates possible. Great things happen at Alpha Beta when we all pitch in!
