The chapter organized numerous charity events, worked with other fraternities to support significant causes, and adopted new structural reforms to enhance academic success. We embraced the value of education and made new institutional adjustments to support academic interest (one of our five membership standards). Philanthropy events included a dance fitness event, a donut sale and a basketball competition in support of Denim Day and domestic violence awareness. We had a great turnout for the basketball tournament (which we organized in conjunction with Delta Tau Delta) and donated proceeds equally to the YWCA and Delta Tau Delta's philanthropy, JDRF, which supports Type 1 diabetes. Alpha Beta also partnered with Chi Omega for a Galentine's event to create a positive and supportive environment on campus. Members from both created Valentine's cards for every sorority house on campus, sparking a new sense of community and collaboration among women on campus. Alpha Chi Omega also had several successful, spontaneous events throughout the year such as a jean-themed dance and a disco dance; these added an element of fun and excitement to the chapter. We also hosted our annual Golden Lyre Ball formal dance, which was a huge success. Overall, Alpha Beta's strong sense of unity and camaraderie shined bright this year. We are dedicated to building our sisterhood and sustaining our success as we look to the future. The chapter is in a strong position for sustained success in the upcoming year because we are focused on our goals and dedicated to working together to support each other and our sisterhood.
