Delta Gamma page 3 I n August, we welcomed 67 women to member class 2022! This spring, we welcomed another 11 new members into Beta Kappa through Continuous Open Recruitment, bringing our Chapter total to 222. In the last year, Beta Kappa has hosted 14 sisterhood events and 10 social events, including a pool party at Kane Family Farm during work week, a movie night out on the lawn during initiation weekend, custom permanent bracelets by CoCoLinked, and a coffee truck at our Chapter house during finals week. In addition to the usual fall semiformals—Snowball, Valentine's, and Cream Rose—we also had a Cowboys vs. Aliens mixer, a "Groutfit" mixer, a "Without Rhyme or Reason" date party, and a 1980s workout costume date party. We have held three philanthropy events in the past year and raised $11,696, which is added to our total lifetime giving of $273,282. Our fall event, Anchor Games, had a great turnout, and our Champion of the Anchor was Ben Cook from Zeta Beta Tau. Our winning Anchor Games team was coached by Lauryn Zebrowski '22 and Marissa Trottier '22. Our members have continued to Do Good around the Lawrence community while volunteering at Audio Reader and other local organizations. We hosted our annual Cheesy with DG event on April 25, during which guests tried every member's favorite meal: Chef John's mac and cheese. Last spring, Sorority and Fraternity Life at KU awarded us Excellence in Leadership and Campus Engagement, Distinction in Risk Reduction and Management, Distinction in Member Development and Education, and Distinction in Community of Awareness. We also successfully transitioned CMT and JCMT. This spring, we hosted a successful Founder's Day during which we were joined by 10 alumnae, five of whom were celebrating 50 years with Delta Gamma. We look forward to everything next semester has in store!
