& The Lion The Ladybug P H I M U F R A T E R N I T Y A T O L E M I S S SPRING 2023 L ast fall, we were thrilled to welcome our active members and alumnae HΦME to our newly renovated and expanded 73 Sorority Row, and although it was a long time coming, it was well worth the wait! Today, our sisters are enjoying all the house has to offer as they develop as scholars and leaders and make memories and friendships to last a lifetime. As our collegians soak up their time in the new Chapter House and make use of the additional space to study, meet, and further grow as a Chapter, we are calling on our alumnae to help Alpha Delta continue to flourish. With a beautiful new home, now is the time to invest in the sisterhood. To date, 44 of our loyal alumnae have come together to contribute more than $200,000 toward our $300,000 debt-reduction goal. With this support, we are well on our way to ensuring our youngest sisters remain competitive on campus, our house corporation remains viable, and the chapter remains financially stable. We are calling on all our alumnae to make a gift today and help us close the gap. You can do so by using the enclosed pledge form and reply envelope or by visiting phimuolemiss.causevox.com to contribute online. Learn more about what CauseVox has to offer in the box to the right. You can be the key to making this happen! Alpha Delta is where it is today because of the sisters who came before us as well as those who are continuously working behind the scenes to make it better each day. You can keep that momentum going and play a huge role in the future success of our Chapter by supporting our campaign. I donated in honor of what it meant to me and my daughters, Selby Entrekin Greer '13 and Lillie Entrekin '17. Your contribution will ensure that Phi Mu remains the Steadfast Sisterhood at Ole Miss. Thank you for helping to ensure Alpha Delta continues to thrive. Love in Our Bond, Jan Williamson Entrekin '82 Campaign Chairman P.S. If you've already given all that you can— thank you! Please reach out to a sister who hasn't yet given and ask her to join you. Gifts of any size will help us reach our goal! With these goals in place, the Chapter has been able to flourish through the betterment of everyone. Through the changes implemented and the growth of our members, we received the 2022 Phi Mu Officer Academy Academic Award and the 2022 Honorable Mention for Nellie Hart Prince Academic Programming Award. Alpha Delta consistently pushes its members to show up for themselves and their community. Many of our members are involved in early entry and accelerated programs that will prepare them for their careers. A growing number of members are engaged in their academics through the Sally McDonnell Barksdale Honors College, the Lott Leadership Institute, and the Croft Institute. Although academics are vital, service is what drives our Chapter. In 2022, Alpha Delta raised $30,000 for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, making it one of our most successful years to date! Our members show true passion and arrive with a positive attitude knowing that their initiative is improving the lives of many children. We hosted Cheesin' for the Children on February 28, 2023, where members served guests grilled cheese and tomato soup. We raised $10,060 through ticket sales and donations from the Ole Miss community. In addition, we raised $13,502 at Bonnamu on April 7, 2023. Last fall, we raised $17,000 at Milkshakes for Miracles. All our events and efforts have an enormous impact on Le Bonheur, and members love taking an active role in making a difference in the lives of its patients.
