Healthy Study Habits VNR Scholarship Jack Fialko '22 (Γ1911) jfialko8@gmail.com I am a sophomore from Malvern, Pennsylvania, majoring in accounting. I was interested in this position because I wanted to make a positive effect on our academic standing as a house, as I take academics very seriously. To promote good academic standing, you must start with good habits. For my position, I spend time with the new members during mandatory study hours, helping them get their work complete and study for exams. I have taken many similar classes to them and have had the same teachers, so I am able to assist them with good study habits for specific classes. I have also had them create LinkedIn accounts to connect with brothers and résumés that will help when they begin searching for internships and jobs. I believe that the new members have done a great job creating good study habits and routines, and I'm extremely excited to see how they will excel academically in the coming semesters. 4 Gamma Crescent Leading the Way Noble Ruler Ivan Soria-Hawkinson '21 (Γ1901) ivansohawk@gmail.com I am a sophomore from Richmond, Virginia, majoring in finance. During my time as noble ruler, I have executed a wide variety of responsibilities and learned what it truly means to be a Gamma man. Being surrounded by my great executive board has really allowed this semester to run smoothly. I am very proud of the new class we gained this semester and expect them to do great things for our chapter. I look forward to finishing out this semester and meeting some of you during Blue-White weekend. Our beloved chapter house. Maintaining the House VNR Maintenance and Operations Austin Lord '22 (Γ1918) austinjoeylord@gmail.com I am a sophomore from Wall, New Jersey, studying broadcast journalism. Being involved in the house and making the most of my time here with this brotherhood is something very important to me, and that's why I decided to run for an executive position. Both my Big and his Big held the position before me, so I decided to run for it myself. It is a very time-consuming position that can be hard to balance with school at times, but I am very happy that I took it as it teaches me how to balance real responsibilities with my studies efficiently. Past VNR maintenance and operations who are still actives have been very helpful, especially my big. We were blessed with a beautiful house inside and out, and I am proud to be able to keep it that way as best as possible. I am looking forward to finishing this semester strong and having a great second half of my executive term in the fall. Chapter Goals 1 Increase membership diversity and inclusivity. 2 Enhance leadership development. 3 Increase community engagement and philanthropy efforts.
