I became interested in this position because I saw an opportunity to help grow and strengthen this house. I saw many ways that I could use my skills to improve the brotherhood. Being able to organize events and activities for the house has been a great experience, to say the least. When it comes to preparation for events, I have enjoyed working alongside other members of the executive board and other brothers. It has also been interesting to work in collaboration with the school on the elements of events involving their established rules and regulations. Following these standards of the school is crucial for the improvement of our fraternity. Next semester, I look forward to being able to continue this role and further help the chapter so it is in a good state for future classes. I am a junior from West Chester, Pennsylvania, majoring in business management with a minor in supply chain and information systems. We have been making strides as a chapter in the areas related to my position of VNR planning. There has been a noticeable increase in the brotherhood's interest in philanthropic involvement, so I have made that a priority. We continued with our clothing drive that has been run in semesters past, which resulted in hundreds of articles of clothing being donated. We also scheduled two different blood drives with the Red Cross, which will count toward our community service hours for the school along with the clothing drive. We recently organized a car wash to raise money for the Centre County PAWS Animal Shelter that raised $400. I believe the pace we are at will only continue to ramp up, which will be vital in our goals of reaching the IFC's Standards of Excellence. I cannot wait to see what we achieve in the fall. This year, we destroyed our previous THON donations record. Gamma brothers gather in front of the chapter house during the State Patty's celebration on February 25.
