he Alabama Chapter of Delta Chi is proud to share that we achieved a
3.2 GPA for the 2022 school year. In the spring, we had four seniors
inducted into Order of Omega, which is a distinguished organization for
those with an outstanding GPA. Additionally, our President for 2021, Frank
Reitano was inducted into the all-men's honorary society, Jason's. We have
also pushed our Associate Members to get involved on campus, with many
of them being selected for roles in First Year Council and Freshman Forum.
We were extremely proud of our three members selected to IFC committees
as this was the most of any IFC Chapter. Furthermore, we had members get
involved in SGA with the Lobby Board and SGA Senate.
Every couple of weeks, we try to host a philanthropy event on Friday
in collaboration with a sorority. We donate the proceeds we raise to
each of our respective philanthropic organizations. In early October, we
hosted a cookout alongside Gamma Phi Beta with a live band and food.
All the proceeds went to Girls on the Run, an organization located in
Birmingham, Alabama.
The Chapter was proud to initiate 55 Associate Members into our
Brotherhood, and we are thrilled to see the wonderful impact they will
have on the Chapter as well as this campus.
Last November, we lost a Brother Garret Walker '23. In honor of Garret, we
will be hosting "Walk for Gwalk" on October 29, a philanthropy event with
the goal of raising money for the Garret Walker Joshua 1:9 Foundation.
