New backyard renovations in fall 2022, including
a full concrete patio, metal benches, picnic tables,
a grill with countertop, and new stairs, were
donated by the Shanahan family.
Our new basketball court honors the late Drew
King '18. These new amenities are frequently
enjoyed by current ATĪ© brothers and are all
greatly appreciated.

Brothers, as we move int o the spring s emest er and celebrat e the
new ye ar, there is much t o b e proud of at the Tau Hut.
BROTHERLY BONDING
The House held several successful brotherhood events this fall as we continue to enhance the
post-COVID strategy of bringing all brothers together.
The weeklong cornjigger celebration was a huge success. The brothers continued their
longstanding tradition of holding successful philanthropic events benefiting several local
organizations. Read more about their efforts and overall fundraising total on page 2!
ACADEMICS
The Chapter has determined that they need to place additional emphasis on academics moving
forward. Their spring 2022 GPA was 3.04, and the fall's was 3.116. With the added emphasis on
academics, we expect to see an improvement in the overall House GPA.
HOUSING RENOVATIONS
Finally, we would like to extend a very special thank-you to the Shanahan family for sponsoring
the backyard improvement project. The undergraduate brothers share the story of how the
project came to be in their semester recap on page 2.
If you are in Columbia, try to stop by Tau Hut to see all the improvements, both inside and in the
backyard. The pictures to the right don't do it justice!
