Making History
Chapter Receives Bell Chapter Recognition
T
his year, our chapter qualified as a Bell chapter for the first time in recent history,
thanks to the generous contributions of Sigma Chi alumni. Through this program,
undergraduate Brothers Matt Kennedy '23, Jack Dillavou '24, and Wyatt Lindsey '24
were awarded academic scholarships, and the chapter will have priority access to several
of Sigma Chi's leadership programs for this academic year. A special thanks to all our
brothers who have contributed. We have less than $40,000 left to raise before the chapter
is permanently endowed, granting them these benefits every year moving forward, and we
need your help to push us over the top.
The Bell Chapter Challenge
This program provides permanent annual benefits to the chapter. Every year, the chapter
will have priority access to the Sigma Chi Leadership Institute's premier programming,
and once endowed, $4,000 per year will be available to our chapter's undergraduates
through academic scholarships. The chapter will also receive travel reimbursements for
attendance at Sigma Chi programs and more.
We are poised to be the first chapter in the state of Kansas to reach this milestone,
distinguishing the chapter as a premier chapter in Sigma Chi. Sigma Chi Foundation's
research has shown that Bell chapters outperform non-Bell chapters in a number of
areas of operational excellence, including academic performance, campus involvement,
community service, and philanthropy.
