p. 3 SIGMA PHI EPSILON A nother year has come and gone, and as we say farewell to our graduating class of 2022, we welcome a new cohort of outstanding men here at Texas Alpha. Over the course of this past summer, and looking onward toward the fall, the brothers continue to demonstrate what it means to be a role model in all areas of life. Here at SigEp, we look to help support the next generation of talented young men, and there is no question we are on a great path toward success. BUILDING OUR FUTURE is past spring, SigEp posted an overall GPA of 3.44, ranking well among other fraternities here at UT. As we have seen over the last few years, there is a continued learning curve with adjusting to the ups and downs of hybrid learning. Our membership has fought well to adjust, and our performance in the classroom is a great testament to that success. In the summer, Texas Alpha extended membership to 55 new members. It's been a pleasure to welcome this group to Texas Alpha, and we look forward to watching them succeed with flying colors in their years here at UT. Whether it be in the classroom, in the community, or on the sports field, their futures are bright. ACTIVE IN AUSTIN Last school year, Texas Alpha raised $8,000 for the Ronald McDonald House through our annual SigEp Dodgeball Tournament. In addition to this, with the help of our VP of philanthropy, we hosted and participated in numerous volunteering opportunities such as blood drives, aer-school programs, and food drives. We look forward to another year of giving back and using our influence to help others with unwavering persistence. e brothers of SigEp continue to excel not only in the classroom and the community, but also within the university as they take up roles in numerous campus groups and leadership boards. Our high participation around campus is a true testament to the holistic approach we encourage everyone to take as a student. We applaud our brothers as they use their talents to help others throughout campus. Some of these organizations include: • Austin Conservation • Interfraternity Council • Reformed University Fellowship • Student Government • Texas Silver Spurs • Texas Undergraduate Law • Undergraduate Geologic Society • University Investors Association • Zavala Aerschool Program We look forward to another successful fall semester—and to welcoming you all at our lovely chapter house for tailgates and Parents' Weekend this November. I wish everyone a healthy, safe, and prosperous fall. Please reach out to me with any questions or concerns.
