Mu Chapter of Chi Omega at the University of California, Berkeley Spring 2022
O
n Saturday, April 2, Mu Chapter welcomed more than 150 alumnae
and active members to our chapter house to celebrate our 120-
year anniversary on the Cal campus. Mu sisters from the 1950s to today
enjoyed reconnecting, laughing, and remembering our days at Cal.
Our special guest, Chi Omega National Archivist, Lyn Harris, Psi
Gamma '79, gave a history of Mu Chapter that included stories of our
founding on campus, contributions of Mu sisters to Chi Omega's early
years, and photos of our sisters. Leslie Boley Robbins '87 presented a
history of the six homes where Mu Chapter lived from 1902 through 1927.
Did you know that the alumnae and active chapter purchased a vacant
lot on Channing Way around 1917 with the hopes of building a chapter
house? Instead, we purchased 2735 Haste Street in 1920 and moved
again in 1927 when we purchased 2421 Piedmont Avenue. Special
thanks to Leslie, Lauren Scott '21, Alumnae Relations Chairman, Dee
Hawk Pearce '63, and House Director Casie Kolbeck for planning this
special day!
