A SLICE OF PI GAMMA PHI BETA AT THE UNIVERSITY OF NEBRASKA-LINCOLN • SPRING 2022 (Continued on page 2) F or the undergraduate women in Gamma Phi Beta, 2021 was another year to grow, further campus and community involvement, and flourish. Hello all, my name is Abby Rushton '19, and I have the great honor of leading Pi Chapter as president and continuing our amazing accomplishments into 2022. I refer to Bloomington, Illinois, as home but have had the remarkable ability to also call 415 N. 16 Street my home since fall 2019. Serving Pi Chapter has been the most inspiring and rewarding experience of my life thus far. I owe it all to the authentic, intelligent, and capable women I consider my sisters. The beginning of our semester at Pi has been overflowing with accomplishments. There are major achievements from the fall, however, that we continue to celebrate. We had 11 members accepted into Order of Omega, a Greek honor society, and six sisters were tapped into Omicron Delta Kappa, one of three senior honor societies on campus. We are immensely proud of all the sisters who will surround the entrance of our home with concrete stamps of their achievements. Through the doors, we have even more to celebrate. Pi Chapter is proud to announce that we earned the third-highest GPA on campus in the fall with a chapter GPA of 3.68! Continuing with great achievements, 59 of our members earned a GPA of 4.0, and all 171 of our members pursued excellence inside and outside of the classroom with grace. You can find Gamma Phi Betas involved on campus almost anywhere you look. Ava Dunne '19 and Kate Riordan '19 serve on the Panhellenic Executive Team; LeAnne Bugay '21 serves as the news and public relations intern for University of Nebraska Communications; Christine Trinh '20 is the speaker of the senate for ASUN, the student government at the university; through leadership with NHRI, Tori Petersen '18 is participating in UCARE research; and Lizzy Kenes '20 and Ashton Sandman '19 serve on the executive council for the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Dance Marathon. Our Pi Chapter members are beyond extraordinary—I could easily continue listing on multiple pages the diverse array of Sisters Clara Roth '19, Malori Grabast '19, and Elle Bombardir '19 at fall primary recruitment.
