Remember your time in the chapter house—the special moments you shared with your sisters, the fun you had, and the long hours you spent achieving your academic goals? Those are the moments that we cherish for years to come. We certainly still think fondly of those moments, and it's something that future sisters will also remember many years from now. We're sure you remember spending time at your desk, studying for your next big test, or completing your homework. Many of you actually studied at the desks that are still in the house today! As academics are important to Mu sisters, we want to provide them with the best study environment that will suit their needs. That's why the house corporation board has set a goal to raise $75,000 by the end of the year so that we can replace those aging desks and chairs in our house. With these updated study areas, we hope our sisters will thrive while maintaining academic excellence. Plus, it will add freshness to our beautiful home. Our new fundraising campaign specifically supports and maintains Mu chapter's educational spaces, and you can assist Mu by donating today! Your gifts will help us replace 60 sets of old desks and chairs. We know our Chi Omega sisters support each other. You have all been there in the past, helping our active members succeed and ensuring that the chapter house continues to be a place where sisters make memories and achieve goals. Mu chapter has remained successful thanks to our generous alumnae who have donated their time and efforts into the sisterhood. We can't wait to see what our members can accomplish with updated furniture. Your gift to Mu chapter can make our exciting plans come to life! Please join your sisters and make a tax-deductible contribution today by visiting https://give.chiomega.com/ MuHousing or mail your check payable to Mu Chapter Educational Area Fund* and send it to 2421 Piedmont Ave., Berkeley, CA 94704. Have any questions? Email us at muchaptergiving@gmail.com. Thank you for supporting our sisters today and into the future. *The Mu Chapter Educational Area Fund is managed by the Chi Omega Foundation. All donations will go directly to Mu chapter. Founded on August 12, 1902, Mu chapter will celebrate 120 years on the Cal campus on Saturday, April 2, 2022, at the chapter house. Our celebration will include a presentation from Chi Omega Archivist Lyn Harris, Psi Gamma '80, house tours, and light hors d'oeuvres. Fun Fact: Did you know that more than 100 years ago, only 18 years after our founding, Mu chapter alumnae and active members purchased our first home at 2735 Haste Street? We lived there from 1920 until 1927, when we purchased our home at 2421 Piedmont Avenue. We need your help! In the evening, we would like to have "decade" gatherings, either at the home of local alumnae or at a nearby restaurant. We are looking for volunteers to host and/or help plan these "decade" events. If you can volunteer or have questions, please contact Dee Hawk Pearce '63 or Leslie Boley Robbins '87 at deelesliecalchio@gmail.com.
