Wendy Camp '67 retired after 47 years of
nursing and is enjoying life in Napa, Calif.,
She loves gardening, walking, watching Cal
football, traveling, and singing. Wendy has
sung twice in Carnegie Hall with her children.

Debbie Klohs DeZarn '71 earned her "life
master" rank in duplicate bridge. She lives in
Stockton, Calif., and is upgrading her 47-year-
old home as well as the yard. "Never bored! I

Catherine Marshall Smith '76 plans to
publish her second novel, "Resilience of Red
Thread," in June 2022. The novel portrays
the struggle of a survivor of domestic abuse
and the importance of female friendship
in breaking the cycle. Her first novel,
American Family, was published in 2016.

Katharine Howard Crawford '80 has
been serving on the board of the Foundation
for African Medicine and Education
(FAMEAfrica.org), a medical center and
hospital in rural Tanzania, which was founded
by Mu sister Susan Gustafson '84 and her
husband, Dr. Frank Artress. She lives in The

Katja Rytokoski Kamangar '87 is married
to Bob, whom she met at Cal, and they have
three children: two in college and one in high
school. Katja was a partner at a residential
real estate development firm in the Bay Area
for 25 years and now has her own land-use
consulting firm. She lives in Los Altos Hills,
