"Never bored! I would love to hear from old friends." Email: dezarn@cal.berekely.edu Catherine Marshall Smith '76 plans to publish her second novel, "Resilience of Red Thread," in June 2022. The novel portrays the struggle of a survivor of domestic abuse and the importance of female friendship in breaking the cycle. Her first novel, American Family, was published in 2016. She lives in Santa Clara, Calif. Katja was a partner at a residential real estate development firm in the Bay Area for 25 years and now has her own land-use consulting firm. She lives in Los Altos Hills, Calif.
