Beta Tau Housing Corporation of Sigma Kappa at the University of Florida • Fall 2021 Beta Tau ConnSKtion Happy fall to our wonderful Beta Tau family. We kicked off this semester by welcoming a phenomenal new member class. On October 10, the chapter initiated 81 new members into our sisterhood. We are honored to support the chapter in their endeavors as they continue to flourish and make us so proud. While our house corporation board's official role is to manage the business side of the chapter, you may have noticed that this corporation board is also focused on building a strong structure for Beta Tau alumnae to "come home" to the chapter and stay as connected as possible to our sisterhood. In doing so, we are ramping up more communication and a series of three alumnae events per year: 1. Our Founder's Day celebration in November. 2. The Violet Tea/Annual Meeting in April. 3. The Summer Kampout alumnae sleepover. All three events are at the house. We want to connect Beta Taus across generations to strengthen our sisterhood so that we can support each other through all phases of life. All are intended to weave in the bonding of our unique Sigma Kappa sisterhood, the fun of being a Gator, and the side-splitting laughs of getting to know each other—again or for the first time. Wherever you are in life—just graduated, a new career, recently married, the craziness of motherhood, making your mark professionally, caring for aging parents, or managing your own health issues—Beta Tau is your "home." Come be with us as often as your schedule and budget will allow. We'll leave you a few photos to entice and hopefully encourage you to come back as soon as possible. We look forward to seeing you soon! As always, the house corporation board and our Beta Tau Chapter appreciate your continued support in our efforts to have another successful year ahead. If you are interested in donating your time to helping us with these events or in general, we would love to hear from you. We are most successful when we are all working together. We wish you a happy and healthy rest of your 2021 and look forward to connecting with you in the new year.
