page 3 | University of Missouri S isters, it's not too early to register for our centennial celebration weekend, which will take place April 22-24, 2022, in Columbia, Mo. We hope to see everyone for the celebration of Alpha Chi Omega's establishment at the University of Missouri 100 years ago. All alumnae and their guests are welcome to be part of the festivities. While the weekend is still in the planning stages, we do have two events scheduled: • A gala celebration on Saturday evening, April 23, at the Hampton Inn & Suites Columbia at the University of Missouri. The event will begin with a 6 p.m. social hour followed by a formal dinner and program. Tickets are $50 per person. • A brunch on Sunday, April 24, with Alpha Chi Omega National President Lynne Herndon, who will honor members achieving milestone anniversaries. Members may purchase milestone pins to commemorate their years in Alpha Chi Omega and have them presented by the national president during the brunch. Pins are available to mark 25, 50, 60 and 75 years, and range in price from $19 to $32. Your milestone year does not have to be in 2022 to have your pin presented. Other possible activities for Friday and Saturday include: • House and campus tours • Opportunity to donate supplies to True North, the local domestic violence shelter supported by the chapter • Ample time for gathering by decade, new member class, graduation year and other smaller groups • Winery visit • After-parties All plans at the time of the event will be in accordance with state and local COVID-19 guidelines. Collegians say the number one reason they resign their membership is due to financial obstacles, especially among seniors. Hopefully, this scholarship will help relieve the financial burden for Alpha Nu sisters facing this issue. Our goal is to endow at least one scholarship by raising $25,000. Ideally, we will raise more! All donations to the scholarship fund are tax deductible. Early donations will allow us to gauge the level of support from our alumnae for the scholarships. Donations to the Alpha Nu Centennial Scholarship Fund can be paid out annually for up to five years through the Alpha Chi Omega Foundation.
