Robert Lyon Waren Award given to
outstanding senior at the Fayetteville Academy

arshall and Sandee Waren proudly
announce the 2013 winner of the Robert
Lyon Waren Award given at the Fayetteville
Academy each year in honor and memory
of their late son. Robert or "Bob" as they lovingly called him,
was a graduate of Fayetteville Academy. He received his college degree from The Kenan-Flagler Business School at The
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Bob was a successful investment banker on Wall Street before his death on
March 2, 2006.
The Robert Lyon Waren Award is for a student that has embodies LEADERSHIP, COMPASSION, SERVICE, PHYSICAL
VIGOR, ACADEMIC MERIT AND JOY. The award goes to a
graduating senior each year. This year the award was given to
Brooks Keener. Brooks was the salutatorian of his senior class
and received an academic scholarship to Wake Forest University. In addition to his scholastic achievements, he was a class
president as well as guard for the basketball team and goalie
on the state championship soccer team. This deserving young
man also finds time to volunteer with our homeless population
and serve on mission trips. Best wishes and God bless Brooks!
