I n the past I have written of the challenges of COVID-19, the stressors of our large Chapter in our Chapter House, and the future of Alpha Delta Phi Mu. I have expounded on the joys of sisterhood and the importance of friendships. We must hold on to what we love most about Phi Mu and this Chapter. LOVE, HONOR, TRUTH: these values are as important (maybe more important now) as they were in the past. One of the challenges that your House Cooperation is currently facing is the delayed completion of our house project; labor and material shortages are playing a large part in the delay. Our hopes of having a newly renovated Chapter House for recruitment will not be a reality. Recruitment will take place on campus, and details are being worked on as I write this. We are reminded of other sororities that have executed excellent recruitments without the benefit of their house—Kappa Delta and Kappa Kappa Gamma, most recently. We are hopeful that the joy of having in-person recruitment before school will be a great incentive and generate great excitement for our Chapter. Challenge is the flavor of life: it adds interest and passion for the values we uphold. As we go forward, I again want to reiterate the Oxford slogan coined by our own sister/mayor: WE ARE STRONGER TOGETHER. This motto resounds loudly today as we move Alpha Delta forward.
