TAU CHAPTER OF THETA CHI FRATERNITY AT THE UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA TAU TOPICS Fall 2021 I don't know about you, but I couldn't be more excited to cheer on the Gators this Fall in a jam-packed Ben Hill Griffin Stadium! With COVID-19 restrictions lifted for UF sports this Fall, I hope to see many of you very soon at the Chapter House, UF football games, and Theta Chi tailgates. The Gators have a loaded home schedule that includes the home opener against Florida Atlantic, back-to-back games against Tennessee and Alabama, Homecoming against Vanderbilt, and the regular season finale against Florida State. I also hope to see many brothers in Jacksonville for the World's Largest Cocktail Party against Georgia. Along with Gator football and no COVID-19 restrictions on UF's campus, Theta Chi has a lot to be excited about with recruitment on the horizon. It's important that alumni remain involved in this effort to ensure that the best young men at UF are pledging Theta Chi! Do you know a young man who will be a freshman or sophomore at the University of Florida this Fall and who would make a great addition to Theta Chi? Send his information to VP of Recruitment Mason Demichele '19 at (941) 914-5115 or masondemichele@ ufl.edu. Our undergraduate brothers have been busy with recruitment preparation this summer and can't wait for recruitment week August 28 through September 2. Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions about how you can get involved at Theta Chi this Fall. Thank you for your dedication to Theta Chi at UF. Go Gators! Academics, campus involvement, and recruitment were on the forefront of our minds throughout the year and that won't be changing for the upcoming Fall semester. We plan to build upon our positive momentum at UF and throughout the Greek community. The end of the Spring semester solidified our hard work on several fronts. Tau Chapter became an accredited Chapter by Florida Greek Standards, UF's Greek life accreditation program. This was a huge accomplishment, as circumstances of the pandemic made it difficult to achieve the requirements. Another proud accomplishment was the honor of welcoming Sean Andros '17 and Alex Shoaf '18 into Florida Blue Key. Their inductions followed our trend from previous years. We also successfully courted Delta Gamma as our Homecoming pair last Fall. This Spring, we said goodbye to our seniors from the Fall 2017 and Spring 2018 new member classes. Although many of them are beginning their careers, many others are continuing their education at dental school, law school, medical school, and pharmacy school. PROUD TO CARRY ON TAU CHAPTER'S LEGACY Undergraduate Brothers Look Forward to Reconnecting with Alumni This Fall Sean Andros '17 and Alex Shoaf '18 get tapped into Florida Blue Key.
