MAYBE YOU DIDN'T KNOW... Rise Against Hunger (riseagainsthunger.org) has fed millions of high-nutrition meals to hungry people around the globe by utilizing the efforts of over 400,000 volunteers. At these events, held at local churches, colleges and other places, volunteers work in assembly-line fashion to package nutritionally complete meals consisting of rice, soy, dried vegetables, vitamins and nutrients. My church, First Presbyterian Church of Fayetteville, has packaged over 800,000 of those meals.
