This is a tremendous program created by the national organization that gives a challenging fundraising goal and a personal spin, with members choosing a fitness/athletic challenge; one year the chapter raised $1,000 for LiveLikeLou. As of March 19, the Missouri Alpha Chapter has had nine members complete the Iron Phi since the program's creation in 2010. Most notably, in 2014-15, alumnus Tony Logan '88 raised $19,172.50 and was the recipient of the Iron Horse Award (awarded to the highest individual fundraiser throughout the entire country during each year). The focus on Iron Phi this semester is a result of the university's COVID-19 restrictions on normal events. However disappointing to not have a campus event with the Greek community, putting effort into Iron Phi has shown to be far from a letdown. We have had a record 33 active members and Phikeia register for Iron Phi so far this semester and are shooting for the Iron Phi Chapter award of raising $10,000 in an academic year: a distinction the Missouri Alpha Chapter has not had since 2013- 14. As of March 20, Nolan Lombardo '24 and Jack Kavanaugh '22, grandson of former Chapter President Ed Travis '56, have completed their fundraising by a healthy margin. On March 6, Jack cycled 50 miles from the house to Robert Morrison's gravesite in Fulton, Missouri, and back, and on April 10, Nolan ran in the Go! St. Louis 10K to complete Iron Phi. During the week of April 25, we held Iron Phi Week, an informal celebration for the members who worked so hard on these fundraising efforts. I encourage all to check out the Iron Phi website to track our fundraising progress and get involved on your own as a fundraiser to help the Missouri Alpha campaign. Brother Tony Logan has served as a spectacular example of how we ought to strive selflessly to improve the fraternity and LiveLikeLou even when our time of reaping the undergraduate benefits has long passed. PhilanthroPy UPdate CHAPTER ETERNAL Bill Tweedie Jr. '55 entered Chapter Eternal on August 4, 2020, at 87. He was surrounded by his loving wife of 35 years, Kathy Car- ter, and their daughters. Following graduation from MU, he served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany. Upon returning from service, he resumed working at the family shoe factory until its closure. His diverse business career included retail shoe store ownership, insurance, and real estate development. Bill followed his family's example of giving back to the medical community with his involvement on several boards, including Memorial Community Hospital, the Mid-Missouri Medical Foundation, and Hospice of Jefferson City and Mid-Missouri. As a talented saxophone player, he spent several years playing with the Kapital Kicks, a philanthropic group of volunteer musicians who donate money earned to local band booster clubs to promote music in schools. His childhood love of the water led him and his wife to build a home at the Lake of the Ozarks. John Robinson '63 entered Chapter Eternal on December 16, 2020, at 79.
