"The recent house renovation project, one that would not have been possible without the generosity and support of our alumni, has helped the chapter become one of the strongest and most respected fraternities on Mizzou's campus. In order for Missouri Alpha to enjoy its successes for another 150 years, the chapter will definitely need continued support from our alumni brothers." Mike looks forward to seeing everyone in October for Missouri Alpha's 150th anniversary celebration! The chapter is looking to put together a historical piece for the event, including any information or articles that fellow alumni may have. If you have any ideas or questions about the project, or would simply like to connect with Mike, he can be reached at mkruesler@gmail.com. Continuing Phi Delt's Bond (Continued from page 1) A t the time of writing, we are approaching the end of the semester at ole Mizzou and things are going great at Missouri Alpha. The undergraduate chapter is working hard and gaining ground on establishing themselves as an "Iron Phi" chapter. This spring's new member class of 17 men is strong. Recruitment has been successful thanks to the chapter's hard work in grades, election and retention of quality undergraduate officers, and involvement on campus. Nationals recently recognized Missouri Alpha in its awards publication—in nearly a dozen categories! Thanks to advisory board member Chris Widmer '93, the Veterans Memorial Monument is nearly complete and ready for installation. We plan to install it somewhere in the vicinity of our American flag in front of the chapter house. If you have names to add to the memorial, please send them to matt@beckettcompany.com. Our 150th anniversary celebration has been rescheduled for the weekend of October 2 (alongside the Tennessee football game). That Friday, we are planning an alumni golf tournament and social event for the evening. Saturday, stop by the house before the game and enjoy an event at Heidelberg after we beat Tennessee. Sunday morning, we will host a brunch at the house and have a dedication ceremony for the new war memorial. At the annual alumni meeting, Rich Smith '91 and Jeff Lahue '93 were elected to the house corporation executive committee. Rich Smith and Brian Filbert '84 have been elected to the chapter advisory board and Mike Ruesler '15 was unanimously elected as new house corporation president. Thanks for your service, gentlemen; the chapter is in good hands. Thank you for your support and commitment to our chapter at Missouri Alpha. We look forward to seeing you in the fall.
