3 Lambda Chi Alpha T he transition from high school to college for Robert Wulff AΔ 1462 was anything but normal as he worked to overcome some medical issues. As Robert arrived at Missouri S&T for the spring 2017 semester, many of his peers had already formed friendships from the prior fall, so he was seeking opportunities to connect with others and make a difference on campus and in the Rolla community. It quickly became apparent to Robert that many of the campus leaders at Missouri S&T were involved in Greek life. After many hours of self-reflection and getting to know the men of Alpha-Delta, Robert knew Lambda Chi Alpha would give him opportunities of growth, service, and leadership that he was seeking at S&T. "The brothers of the Chapter not only taught me how, but trusted me and enabled me in my growth as a student, leader, officer, and most importantly, a brother. They were willing to take the risk on me and my visions that I have pursued through my terms as High Rho, High Tau, and High Beta," Robert said. "I have grown as a person more than ever before in my life during my time as an undergraduate, and I largely owe that to the men of Alpha Delta. It seems very cliché, but I truly believe I wouldn't still be in college if it weren't for the support and teaching of my brothers." From the very beginning of Robert's Alpha-Delta experience, he's learned from his brothers how to make the most out of a difficult situation. When Robert was going through recruitment, he was invited by then High Delta Kyle Barton AΔ1427 to a St. Louis Cardinals game with a few other brothers. The game itself was nothing special, but on the ride back to Rolla, there was very bad traffic. Rather than dwell on the situation, Robert saw brotherhood at work as Kyle, Carter Daniels AΔ 1443, and Daniel Josten AΔ 1437 began watching It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and making it a bonding experience rather than a boring one. As Robert serves as High Beta, he and his brothers are in a far more difficult situation as they navigate the challenges of COVID-19 during the fall semester. Nevertheless, the active brothers have banded together to make the most of the pandemic. "I have done my best to provide guidance and support to my brothers during a time where no one is sure how we will manage," Robert said. "At the end of the day, every fraternity is about brotherhood. I am humbled by how much each brother cares about each other, and has truly helped one another through such a hectic time." Lambda Chi Alpha gave a big boost to Robert's spirits in the early months of the pandemic. Scott Preston AΔ1135 urged Robert to apply for a position on the Student Advisory Committee for Lambda Chi Alpha International Headquarters. Robert wasn't only elected to the SAC, but is now serving as the Grand High Psi and director of chapter finances, education, and member development. "It was hard to believe that I was selected to be not only one of 16 individuals elected to SAC, but also as one of four individuals to represent the thousands of undergraduate brothers across the country. I was quickly invited to visit the International Headquarters for the first Grand High Zeta meeting of my term," Robert said. "These meetings have absolutely blown my mind with the level of dedication each of the men on the board display. This position has been humbling, exciting, motivating, and overall educational about everything life can offer. It's inspired me to really push my limits as a person, and I love the feeling."
