2 Phi Sig Express responsible and have the ability to meet all chapter financial obligations. They have been proactive, and I'm proud of the planning and conduct of our undergraduate leadership to adjust as needed. Refunds for graduating seniors and credits for next fall have been made due to the early departure from campus. Housing contracts for next fall are complete and 302 Waldron Street is forecast to be full. Delta Triton had one of the best spring recruitment classes in our history with 25 candidates. Initiation has been postponed and rescheduled for the fall semester. We can't predict what the future brings, but Phi Sigma Kappa at Purdue is in good shape to weather the storm. I ask you to mark your calendars for Homecoming on October 31 against Northwestern, as we celebrate at the chapter house with social time and great food. A ticket block has been reserved for the game. As part of our 90-year recognition, Clark Ahrens '66 arranged for an artist to produce a historical painting of the Phi Sig residences on Waldron Street since our activation. Prints of the painting by David Dayton '66 and free standing anodized aluminum desk sets will be available with proceeds going to undergraduate scholarship efforts. Look out for more updates on this and Homecoming information in an early summer announcement. The alumni board is considering an early spring reunion and dinner in 2021 as a way to close out our celebration. Our 80-year event proved to be the catalyst for a new house and was a great recovery of long- detached, non-participating brothers like myself. As we plan for something next spring, your suggestions and comments about who, what, when, and where would help guide the planning. Please drop a note to a board member and give them your thoughts. Fraternally, John Lendrum '80 Alumni Board President jlendrum@nciprecast.com Delta Triton Stands Strong (Continued from page 1) FSK D o you want to get more involved with your university, house, and brothers but don't know how? Do you have skills and experiences to share with our active brothers? Our new chapter mentorship program may be right for you. What does a mentor do? • Provides professional and personal development • Coaches and supports during challenges • Demonstrates, educates, and models desired traits • Brings their experiences and passion to every relationship • Is available/flexible to form and maintain relationships over many months • Provide ongoing support for initiatives in building scholarship and brotherhood across generations Ideally, the mentor can get back to campus at least once a semester. The primary focus for the mentor will be on building a 1:1 relationship with an active brother, but support with larger groups may be requested periodically. Skills and experience in areas such as finance, risk management, and communications are helpful, but all are welcome and encouraged to volunteer. If you'd like to volunteer, please contact Alumni Board Vice President Kevin Chase '01 at chasekevinm@gmail.com or via phone (269) 277-3512.
