On November 9, 2019, sisters of all ages returned to 1019 E. Cherry St. to celebrate Delta Upsilon's six decades of tradition-rich history. Personal Growth From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., alumnae had the opportunity to tour the chapter house and reflect on their personal growth during their undergraduate days. Sisters reminisced about their favorite Sigma Kappa memories and remembered the good ol' days while taking Bid Day-style photos on the front lawn. We were also honored to have Sigma Kappa National President Sara Seely Chacon and our favorite mascot, Boomer Bear, join us for fellowship and light brunch refreshments. Service A big part of what has made Sigma Kappa so successful at Missouri State is our commitment to living with heart on and off campus. University Ambassadors gave campus tours from noon to 2 p.m., which brought back many memories of all the various activities Delta Upsilon sisters have participated in over the years. They also got to visit some of the newest spots on campus that our undergraduate sisters now enjoy. The tour concluded at the campus bookstore, where sisters took advantage of a discount toward their BearWear collection. Friendship While many of our favorite Delta Upsilon memories have occurred in the chapter house, our sisterhood has strengthened immensely the past 60 years from bonding throughout Springfield and all over the world. Sisters celebrated their friendship at their favorite places in Springfield after picking up their Passport to Springfield at the open house. From 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., we convened at Sixtieth Soirée at University Plaza to enjoy food, dancing, and live entertainment from Ernie Biggs Dueling Piano Bar. In addition to honoring our five founders, six sisters highlighted each decade of Delta Upsilon's history. Loyalty The 230 sisters who attended our 60th anniversary celebration showcased the loyalty View more photos from the celebration at alexnorthup.pixieset.com/sk60 of Delta Upsilon's amazing alumnae base. Thank you to all the sisters who helped us celebrate and to everyone who has made Sigma Kappa the premier sorority at Missouri State for the last six decades.
