F or more than 110 years, the rich traditions of Delta Delta Delta have made a significant impact on the lives of Theta Gamma women at the University of Oklahoma. Our organization is grounded in the power of servant leadership and community building, and our goal is for this project to be grounded in those principles. Theta Gamma has supported, lifted, encouraged, celebrated, and challenged our members to serve beyond themselves. Building on Excellence at 1611 College will enable us to update our Tri Delta home to ensure the next generation of sisters can learn these same ideals. Investing in Our Future Our beloved home at 1611 College, which was built in 1954 and renovated in the 1980s, must be renovated and expanded to meet today's standards. Although the House Corporation and active membership have worked diligently to keep the house safe and comfortable, we simply cannot maintain the house to the necessary standards indefinitely. This renovation and expansion will update the common areas while also meeting the everyday needs of the active membership. Our investment in Theta Gamma will yield a facility that complements our efforts to produce outstanding members, scholars, philanthropists, and leaders for years to come. Our goal is to create a home that will further solidify the strong ideals of our membership by creating a space where sisters can live, learn, and work together toward our shared mission. The Commitment of Our Sisters Our campaign committee has been humbled by the early support of Theta Gamma sisters, friends, and families over the last year. Early commitments total over $1.9 million. While this is an impressive start, we set a lofty goal at the beginning of this journey to raise $3 million toward this project. Our memories of living in the Tri Delta house are some of the best of our lives, bringing us friendships that will last a lifetime. We learned how to support, encourage, and challenge each other to serve the world beyond ourselves. We now must work to create a legacy to pass on to the next generation of strong Theta Gamma women. We would be honored to have you join our growing list of generous donors. Please be on the lookout for further information on the project, the campaign, and ways in which you can help. We thank you, sincerely, for your thoughtful consideration.
