3 DTD THE CORDELT B eta Omicron began the semester initiating four young men into our brotherhood. Each new member is excited to grow with Delta Tau Delta and to lend our chapter their talents. Together we're maintaining a strong legacy of leadership at Cornell. HOMECOMING REUNITES GENERATIONS In early October, Beta Omicron celebrated Homecoming with the whole chapter tirelessly organizing the weekend's festivities. The alumni versus actives football game was one of the more spirited games we've seen in recent years. While we conceded our loss to the alumni, the actives managed to put up a good fight with a large turnout. ENGAGING THE ITHACA COMMUNITY We continue pushing philanthropic efforts, especially when it comes to community service. There have been more channels to engage with the Ithaca community, ranging from our monthly Enfield Elementary School visits to our bi-weekly loaves and fish's engagements. Brothers hope to keep improving as we always strive to make our community a better, safer, and healthier environment. CHAPTER RECEIVES AWARD FROM DELT CONFERENCE Academic efforts at Beta Omicron are flourishing as our current 3.32 GPA surpassed the campus average. This demonstrates an upward trend from past semesters, and we hope to keep climbing. The national fraternity took note of our rapid improvement in focusing on studies and granted us the Academic Excellence Award at the 2019 Northeastern Divisional Conference held in February. THANK YOU, ALUMNI We would like to thank all our alumni for their never-ending support and dedication to the values of Delta Tau Delta. Shout-out to chapter Advisor Jack Thompson '73 and the House Corporation for their unwavering support. It's only through the gracious spirit and guidance of our alumni network that we can continue our success at Cornell. If you find yourself in the Ithaca area, we encourage you to stop by the Shelter for a visit. We would love the opportunity to connect, exchange stories, receive guidance, and share our vision for the future of Beta Omicron with you.
